This is my first experiment with time lapse photography/video. I used the free Mac application, Gawker. Not to be confused with the gossip blog, Gawker allows you to capture images from any Flash available camera (usb, firewire, etc.) and set it to record snapshots at an interval that you set. It then stitches the images together into a .mov format video file. Pretty cool if you ask me. Capture storms, plants, people, traffic, anything you can think might look interesting (every 15 seconds). One other feature that might be interesting is the ability to set a scheduled record. Security camera anyone? Annoying coworker going through your desk? This is a cheap and easy answer, or at the very least quite entertaining. I used the Mac I-Sight external camera for the purposes of this experiement. Enjoy!
