30 Seconds of Zen: Swan In Pursuit

Another 30 seconds of zen (or slightly more) vid from the archives. This was Boston, July 2008. My money was on the little guy, that I lovingly named Steve McQueen. Go ducky, GO!!
(UPDATE and NOTE: It has been brought to my attention that at the time I had in fact said that my money was on the swan. While this is technically true – in my heart of hearts – I was rooting for the Frank Capra’esque foul.)

The Long Ride Home

And so our trip is in its final hours as we have begun our journey home. It is overcast and chilly, a nice break from the humidity of days prior. Everything looks very green from the windows of the train, a layer of fog laying over the backdrop of hills. We cut the mist as we charge back to the district. A small spider hitches a ride on the window sill. Poor fella's going the wrong way. Wondering if maybe we are too.

Rosebud Diner

Stopped in for some lunch at the Rosebud Diner for that classic diner car experience. Aside from the flat screen TV in the corner the experience was pretty authentic, from the waitress that you assume has worked here for the duration of the establishment’s existence pushing the daily special to the signage hanging around the room. I do love me a lunch counter. The second video is a down and dirty review of my tasty marinated turkey tips and Jane’s grilled cheese.

Harbor Seals @ New England Aquarium

Took some time to check out the Boston Harbor. A beautiful day indeed. Caught a glimpse of Codzilla, some Navy personnel doing some PR with some tourists, and a dead rat.

The largest of its kind at the Boston Museum of Science. Note the crazy lady in the cage. Wow. I wonder if her insurance company knows about this?
