Unboxing the Photojojo Telephoto lense with @DaveSaunders at Union Station. This great little toy rings at a measely $35 and comes complete with tripod, telephoto lense, protective case for the lense and of course the case that the lense screws into. Not bad, not bad at all. Dave experienced major vingetting on his, while mine was much more minor. We’ll be contacting the manufacturer to get his replaced – but all in all – we were pretty happy with the purchase.

WuChess Challenge: I’m Gunning For You GETV

Posted by scottstead on Aug 11, 2008 in Uncategorized

Doctor Popular made me aware of another rap challenge put on by Wuchess.com. They wanted help people make the connection between chess and hiphop. Personally, it connects back to the Nerdcore thing I did earlier this year – it’s fun to rap about geeky stuff (i.e. chess, star trek, BBS’, whatever). So in competitive fashion Doc and I decided it was on: a rap off between Jonny’s Partay and GETV. Jonny is currently indisposed with moving plans in his transition from DC to Philly, so I had to represent. Warning: What you are about hear is a lyrical masterpiece, followed by two drooling attempts to “Pwn my pawn.” Good lyric Doc. I’ll give you that.

YAK Live in Boston

Posted by scottstead on Jul 1, 2008 in Uncategorized

The YAK Crew from NYC showed some passing tourists and locals their moves in downtown Boston.

High Quality

Cell Phone Videos

And for their grand finale one of the crew members jumped over a handful of tourists. I was thoroughly impressed. I really wish they had performers like this in D.C.
