Out of place and out of time, the Maryland Renaissance Festival happens every August through October in Annapolis, MD. I’ve attended the last two years in a row and I have to say – it’s a lot of fun for anyone of any age. Eat a turkey leg like a carnivorous knight, have a beer straight out of a cask and right into your goblet, or eat a variety of foods on a stake. The performers are phenomenal from sword play, to madrigals, drum bands to creepy creatures strolling around the grounds. Here’s some video that I found lying around from 2008. I hope you enjoy.
